Where are the dresses made?

All dresses are carefully made in our atelier in Iasi, Romania. They are crafted with love and partially hand sewn.

I am an international client, how can I understand the currency?

The prices are listed in Lei, that is the Romanian currency. You can use a convertor (we have one on our website: right upper corner for desktop and in the middle of the shop page on mobile) to switch the pricing to USD or EURO. The currency shown is an estimate at that day’s exchange rate.

How can I choose my size?

Every product has the sizes available listed (there is a mention ‘In stock/ out of stock’ for every size listed). If your size is not on our website or available, you can look for the ‘Made to measure’ option and you can have the dress made for your size. If you can’t select made to measure, it means the dress is no longer available.

How does ‘Made to measure’ work?

If the dress you like is available for ‘Made to measure’ you can order it for your measurements. In the size guide you can find an illustration that helps you take the measurements. On our website you will find three spaces where you will have to fill in your measurements for bust, waist and length. Measurements can provided in centimeters or inches, however it is easier.

How do I measure the length?

You can measure the length from shoulder to hem (where you want the dress to end). For short dresses we recommend a length between 85 cm and 110 cm, depending on every design and your height. For floor length dresses we recommend you measure the length with heels, if you will wear heels with the dress (to double check you can subtract 15 cm from your height).

How do I know what size to order?

We have a size guide that you can use to see what standard size to order. Please verify your size in cm or inches to be sure it fits, since you might be used to another size notation in your country. Feel free to email us for help.  We recommend leaving your measurements (bust, waist, height) in the order’s note if you are not sure and we will contact and help you.

Can I customize the dresses?

Our brand makes only the designs you see on our website and our social media profiles. We do allow minor alterations for a perfect fit: e.g. adding/removing sleeves, longer/shorter sleeves. Customization might require an additional cost, please verify if the alterations are possible and if so, the cost at info@chotronette.com before placing the order.

I like a dress from a previous collection/ the dress I like is no longer on your website

We are happy you like our dress, but the majority of our designs are limited edition, one-of-a-kind or the fabrics run out of stock. If a dress is not on our website we most likely are not able to reproduce it. You can only order the designs available now on our website and we try to update with new dresses as often as possible.

How can I pay?

Our dresses can be ordered from our e-shop and we have two payment methods: card payments and bank transfer. For all card payments we use PayU, a secure platform that helps you pay safely. If you choose bank transfer, you will receive an email with your order and our company’s bank information and you will have to make the bank transfer and get back to us with a confirmation.

Can I return a dress?

Our dresses can be returned. You will have to pay for the shipping back through a safe door-to-door shipping company. We can’t accept packages sent via Postal Service.

Do you make dresses for children?

We don’t have a special collection for kids, but we can make matching mother-daughter dresses. Please email us for details.
